2.0 and 2.2

Although there were major architectural changes between 1.3 and 2.0, there was very little to differentiate it with regards to functionality. This, combined with a number of other factors, resulted in very slow adoption of version 2.0, so it was more than two years after the initial release of 2.0 when we started seeing a significant number of users moving from 1.3 to 2.0.

2.2, on the other hand, has a number of major new features, as well as a number of changes in configuration syntax, which make it a compelling alternative to 2.0, and will likely drive more rapid adoption of this release than we saw after the 2.0 release.

Of course, understanding what has changed will help you make this transition with open eyes, being fully aware of what changes you can expect.
