STARTING NEW RELATIONSHIPS

It doesn’t matter if we’re new to a job, school, church, health club, or neighborhood. Our success and happiness are often determined by our ability to start new relationships and integrate ourselves into new groups. In this chapter we will explore why we are reluctant to start and develop new relationships, and learn how we can improve our ability to move beyond the initial introduction and build positive, productive relationships with all sorts of people.
