2.5. WHERE YOU STAND
You may be saying to yourself, "We're already doing some of those things." But remember, we've already noted that much of Six Sigma is not new. What is new is its ability to bring together all these themes into a coherent management process.
Bear in mind that Six Sigma is a gradual process. It starts with a dream or a vision: the goal of near-perfect products and services and superb customer satisfaction. If you are willing to take on this challenge and if your company is willing to support your effort, you will find that few endeavors in your career yield as much satisfaction. In the next chapter, we talk about your role in Six Sigma and the kinds of action you can take to be a winner.
