A LONE RANGER

I arrived at Walter Albright’s office a couple of minutes early. I had hoped that Gordon would be with me today, but he was still tied up with his other client.

Apparently, Albright was still at lunch. His secretary pointed me to the waiting area. As instructed, I went to the designated spot and—now remembering more of my orientation basics—stood next to what appeared to be a very comfortable couch. We’d been told consultants stood while waiting in order to reinforce the message that they were ready to work and were always aware of the value of the client’s time.
