Chapter 25. Resource Analyzer

The Resource Analyzer is a stand-alone performance monitor for WebSphere Application Server Advanced Edition. The Resource Analyzer Console can be brought up on Windows or UNIX machines, and it can connect across platforms to the WebSphere Administrative Server running locally or on a remote machine.

This chapter takes an in-depth look at the new Resource Analyzer. Note that this is a technology preview product of WebSphere V3.5. For this redbook, most of the Resource Analyzer testing was done while connected to the WebSphere Administrative Server Advanced Edition. The version of Resource Analyzer did not work with Standard Edition when we tested.
