Chapter 17. Workload management

WebSphere provides a number of tools and techniques that come into play when implementing configurations that provide scalability, load-balancing and failover. We summarize each of them in turn here, then provide in-depth descriptions in subsequent chapters, and finally show how these tools and techniques are combined to create real-life system configurations. For detailed information, including step-by-step configuration, see WebSphere Scalability: WLM and Clustering using WebSphere Application Server Advanced, SG24-6153.
