2.1. Installation
The popular GUI installation has three options - Quick, Full, Custom. In addition to that, there is a native installer. This command line feature has two modes - silent (or non-interactive) and interactive. This is useful for remote and multi-node installations.
Other installation enhancements:
- Enhanced prerequisite checking for Custom Installation option
- Quick Installation option installs prerequisites (Web server, database, JDK, etc.)
- Increased support for granting read/write authorities for deployment directories during installation
- Intelligent starting and stopping of services (on Windows-based systems)
- Easier Web downloads of installation image
- Support for organization-wide roll-outs of custom installs
