WebSphere Standard Edition is a single system, extremely easy-to-use Web Application Server. You can use Standard Edition for applications producing both static and dynamic Web pages containing:
Static HTML (HTML, .gif, .wav, etc.)
HTML with imbedded client-side scripts, for example JavaScript
You can develop applications producing dynamic content with servlets and JSPs.
