mod_cgi
The mod_cgi
module provides for execution of CGI
scripts, including the handling of environment variables and logging.
When a CGI script is started, this module creates an environment
variable called DOCUMENT_ROOT
that mimics the
DocumentRoot
directive. It also sets the
REMOTE_HOST
, REMOTE_IDENT
, and
REMOTE_USER
environment variables if appropriate.
