Video Shooter: Storytelling with DV, HD, and HDV Cameras, by Barry Braverman (2006, CMP Books)

This is the best book we know of for an amateur video maker who wants to work like a pro. Braverman has decades of experience, from shooting feature films to no-budget videos, and the book lends a valuable perspective for even the most experienced video makers. Braverman actually covers much more than shooting, giving useful advice on everything involved in a production. Because we liked the book so much, we sought out Barry for an interview in Chapter 2, Shooting for the Web.
