Chapter 29. PHP Basics

PHP is a relative newcomer to the Web-scripting scene, but it is a revolutionary step for online scripting. PHP was built to deliver markup content (HTML, XHTML, and so on) over the Web. As such, it contains many native features that make that task easier. With a syntax that is easy to understand and use, PHP provides an excellent tool for delivering dynamic content. This chapter introduces PHP.
