7.2. The Advertising Service

When services and clients are attached to a single engine, finding a service is a mere task of connecting to the engine and executing a query. However, the scenario changes when services and clients are deployed on separate service engines. There needs to be a resource (or a service) that acts as the intermediary. The Advertising service is an extended e-Speak service that allows services to be located on remote engines. Figure 7.4 depicts a service discovery sequence with the Advertising service.
