5.1. Vocabularies

In Chapters 3 and 4, we registered the services with a simple attribute — Name. However, such a simple attribute will not always be enough to describe a service adequately with the service engine. A service can be described by many inherent characteristics. Together, these meaningful characteristics allow for a robust description of the service. For example, when talking about a car, it would not be enough to say the car is an Audi. You would want to know the color, the engine power, the number of doors, whether it has a sun/moon roof, and numerous other characteristics.

By the same token, services can be described by important aspects of their offering. For example, in the User Data service, you could use department name, ...
