There are over six billion people on the planet Earth! But they don't all have Web addresses; it just feels like it. There have been phone books for decades; now many of them are available online in large searchable collections. If you're trying to get a phone number, the Internet makes it easier than ever. In some ways that's a good thing, and in some ways that's a really bad thing, so we're going to start this chapter with an admonition on privacy.
