Using Plain Search Engines and Company Sites

You may have no idea what you want to be when you grow up and that's fine. Skip this section.

On the other hand, you may have had a long-time dream. You may know exactly who you want to work for and exactly what you want to be. In that case, please don't go to a job search engine. Go to that company's Web site (you can often find company Web sites by just typing in their name at Google) and see if they have a jobs section. Most of the time they do. Look for “jobs” or “we're hiring!” Even Google itself has a jobs section, even though from what I hear working at Google is so cool nobody would ever leave.
