Chapter 14. NEWS SEARCHING
When search engines first started appearing on the Web, they had very long delays for indexing new materials. It might take four to six weeks—and possibly longer—for a Web page to be added to a site's index.
That's no longer the case. Now a new page might be added to a search engine within days and sometimes hours. That means two things: first, the pages you find in a search engine tend to be fresher, and second, you can do a certain amount of current events searching by finding recent news articles.
