As we continue through the book, we’ll identify specific elements of our theme that need to be converted from static content to dynamic WordPress calls. As we do this, our theme will slowly take shape and the amount of static content will be greatly reduced. This process doesn’t necessarily represent the best way to build a theme: we’re learning as we go, so it’s a little disjointed.

The home page is a sum of content from many parts of our site. It has a header and footer, obviously. There are also two dynamic sidebars, a slider, and a most recent posts section.
