Input Controls

The input element is used to create a variety of form input controls , including:

  • Single-line text entry fields

  • Password entry fields

  • Hidden controls

  • Checkboxes

  • Radio buttons

  • Submit and reset buttons

  • File upload mechanisms

  • Custom and image buttons

The type attribute in the input element specifies the control type. The value of the type attribute also determines which other attributes may be used with the element.
