13.4. Expressly Uncacheable Content and Hit Metering

Similar to the problems of caching cookied content is the situation in which the Web site explicitly prohibits caching some content. We refer to such content as expressly uncacheable content. Often the only reason content providers disallow caching is to get accurate usage statistics for their content. However, disallowing content caching for this purpose is a huge overkill on the part of Web site developers.
