6. Visualizing Networks

The Pacific Surfliner goes from San Luis Obispo to San Diego. I love this train. I board at Glendale and start my writing. The first ten minutes to Los Angeles are dismal, as we pass electrical transformer distributors and recycling firms. But the path from San Juan Capistrano to Oceanside is as fine as a trip can be.

I like to know where I am going, where I have been, and the map or path between. But with an ocean and surfers in sight, I like what is happening now the most.
