In Part C, we presented the emergency measures provided to support financial institutions and countries that had come under financial stress. In Section D, we provided an overview of the reform agenda aimed at fixing the flaws in the regulatory framework of financial services and at avoiding a similar crisis from recurring in the future. This part goes beyond the financial sector and the financing of the economy and discusses the enhanced European economic governance put in place to address the flaws in the macroeconomic framework of the euro area and the European Union (Chapter 8).
