It would be a gross error to view what follows as the definitive version of The Wave Rider’s Guide. That book remains to be written, but I believe you will find more than sufficient material with which to get started, all presented in a practical stepwise manner. Beginning with the fundamental mind-shift necessary to see the world as a Wave Rider must see it, on through Eight Essential Steps for the fulfillment of the role, I have attempted to deal with the basic questions——What does it mean to be a Wave Rider? What do Wave Riders do? Subsequent editions of The Guide may describe ten steps or only seven, but this journey——as all journeys——begins with a single step.
