Summary

In this chapter we've introduced WMLScript and studied how to create functions that can enhance your WAP applications. I've given you some compelling reasons to consider using WMLScript to solve common application requirements such as simple arithmetic and decision-making. One of the greatest advantages of using WMLScript is taking part of the processing burden off of your application server.

I've provided a number of applications for you to review and hack, ranging from simple to more complex. Appendix B defines and provides examples of all the library functions for reference. You'll see a lot of other instances of WMLScript in this book, so you can come back to this chapter or Appendix B as you need to.
