Appendix F. Local Icons

As explained in Chapter 6, "Using Images," phones equipped with the Phone.com microbrowser contain a library of icons stored in ROM. These icons can be displayed just like any other images, and because they are already on the device there is no lengthy graphic download time.

Figure F.1 is a complete alphabetical list of icons currently supported in Phone.com microbrowsers. To use any of these icons, simply specify the icon name (or its number) in the <img> tag's localsrc attribute. The following two examples both refer to icon number 129, mailbox:
