Chapter 14, “An Introduction to DBMS Development,” covered a great deal of information about DBMS development. This chapter takes that information and incorporates it with the WAP skills you’ve practiced throughout this book.
In this chapter, you’ll more closely examine connecting WAP devices to databases—one of the hottest areas in wireless development today. In this chapter, you’ll also create ASP pages using VBScript and ActiveX Data Objects, both of which you’ll learn about in this chapter. You’ll then learn how to access these ASP pages from your WAP device, calling them from a WML deck.
