Summary

This chapter expanded on the use of images to see how incorporating timers enables developers to create dynamic splash pages. The various uses of timers within WAP applications were also covered, as was the fact that the concept of time is used widely throughout the development world.

This chapter examined several uses of timers, including the creation of splash pages and pages that display for only a limited time. This latter example is especially useful for pages that contain content-sensitive data.

This chapter concluded with a discussion of how to use timers to create simple animation effects within your applications. We have now covered all of the WML language, and you should feel comfortable and confident in your abilities.
