What Are Timers?

Without realizing it, you’ve probably used hundreds of software programs that contain timers. For example, one of the more widely used areas of timers is in title pages (better known as splash pages). Splash pages display a type of logo or title for a defined period of time. Splash pages then display the next screen after the time interval expires, all without any direct user involvement.
