What Are Wireless Protocols?

Protocol is a technical networking term that means the series of steps used to transfer data. Most developers shy away from in-depth discussions about networks; however, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the protocols that make up WAP.

The term Wireless Application Protocol is in some ways misleading. The term is misleading because the WAP technology is actually made up of not one, but five, different protocols all working together.
