Setting Up Your Development Environment

Before you can develop WAP applications, you first must create a development environment. For the exercises in this book you’ll need the following set of tools:

  • A PC with one of the following Windows operating systems:

    • Windows 95, 98, or Millennium (Me)

    • Windows NT 4.0

  • Windows 2000 Professional, Advanced Server, or Datacenter Server

  • A text editor

  • WAP device-emulator

  • WBMP Image Tool

  • WBMP Image Tool

  • Web Server

  • Microsoft Access 97 or higher
