MetaNodes

While I have alluded to MetaNodes, now that you have a more complex function, it is time to actually create a MetaNode.

MetaNodes give you the ability to group nodes into a functional (no pun intended) group that keeps your workspace less messy and that allows you to reassign sections of functions into other functions you create. This might sound a bit convoluted, but basically, you create a mini-application that can be assigned and modified as you need.

To see this better, let’s use the function you just built and turn it into a MetaNode.

  1. Click and drag across all the nodes that make up the function. Figure 15.33 shows the nodes highlighted and ready to be turned into a MetaNode.
