A Healthy Glow

Another feature in Vue that is often overlooked is Translucency. This is the ability to make a material appear to have an inner glow. Think onyx or jade and how it has a deep, wet appearance. The interior glow is established through the SubSurface Scattering controls in the Material Editor. But what is SubSurface Scattering (also referred to as SSS)? It is the process where light enters an object, is jumbled and scattered about, and then bounces back to re-emerge from the object and light it from within.
