A Tree Grows In…

…some town square somewhere in the world. Or in front of some office building at the outskirts of town. Bottom line, a tree grows over the course of a number of years, and using Vue to create time-lapse animations of that tree growing as the years pass is actually fairly easy. In fact, you can simulate the growth of multiple plants in your scenes using the techniques outlined in the previous section of this chapter.

The problem you can run into when dealing with plants—especially multiple plants—is the increase in render time. Everything we add to a scene takes up valuable render time.
