9.4. Monitoring VRRP Using HP Openview

This section takes a look at VRRP configuration using HP OpenView. HP OpenView is a configuration tool that is used for monitoring of various vendor devices in the network.

The screen in Figure 9-22 captures a typical VRRP setting. A local subnet 10.0.1.0 is protected by the VRRP virtual router consisting of master and backup routers and acting as gateways to the cloud, 192.162.1.0. In this picture all devices and links are up. The menu on the upper right corner shows that there is no status alarm.
