9.3. Nortel Networks Accelar Device Manager

The Nortel Networks Accelar Device Manager is a GUI device used to configure VRRP on Passport 8600 series switches. Chapter 8 provides more details on the Passport series. The Accelar Device Manager is also a stand-alone application, like Site Manager, and is not integrated into the Web.

In Accelar version A hardware, four VRRP interfaces (isolated routing ports and VLANs) are allowed per switch and all VRIDs must be unique. In version B hardware, a maximum of 255 VRIDs can be configured.

To set up VRRP parameters:

On a port, choose Edit -> Port -> VRRP

On a VLAN, choose VLAN -> VLANs -> Basic -> IP -> VRRP
