As mentioned earlier, all the RAS procedures are not discussed in this overview. So, here is a brief description of the others.

Terminal Gatekeeper Requests for Changes in Bandwidth

These messages are exchanged for this procedure:

  • BRQ: Bandwidth Change Request, contains the bandwidth parameter, discussed earlier.

  • BCF: Bandwidth Change Confirmation, confirms the change request with the bandwidth parameter.

  • BRJ: Bandwidth Change Reject, rejects the request and provides the reason for the reject.

Location Requests

This procedure is not an actual location request, but a service that the Gatekeeper provides a requester. The service translates an address (say E.104) to transport address (a port or socket).
