Acknowledgments

I’d like to give thanks to a number of key people in my career who have helped me gain knowledge and understanding about voice and data networking. In particular, David Foote and Mike Medin are two people early in my telecom career who taught me my first “real-world” lessons about the various technologies surrounding PBXs—those impromptu white-board sessions were invaluable. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to participate in worldwide standards meetings and to exchange ideas with leading voice and data experts. I learned a great deal on my trips to Nice, London, and Tokyo. Thanks to my colleagues—Scott, Jerry, David, Shamim, and Bill—for being part of this learning process.

Thanks to Tony and Bill and the rest of the Rapid Link ...
