How to Calibrate a Field Monitor to NTSC Color Bars

Color bars are a standardized electronic signal that allow you to calibrate your reference monitor with accuracy and consistency so that you can be sure the colors and exposures you see on the monitor are what you are actually recording. It is important that you care-fully calibrate your monitor each and every time you set up your equipment. While it seems like a lot of steps, calibrating a monitor to color bars becomes quick and easy after you do it a few times.
