Appendix A. Patches to Bastille Tool
This appendix contains the necessary patches to the Bastille tool version 3.2.1 from www.Bastille-Linux.org to enable it to work on VMware ESX. These changes apply to this version only. The patch command syntax will update only this version. Note that these changes are required for it to work on any GNU/Linux system as well. Two patches are required, and each of these can be applied using the patch < patchname command available to any GNU/Linux system except VMware ESX. So it is best to build a GNU/Linux environment to apply these patches. In each of these patches, it is very important to maintain the spacing as described.
