Providing Distributed vSwitch security options
The standard vSwitch security options are also applicable to the distributed vSwitch; however, the distributed vSwitch provides for more complex and resilient network architecture. With specific regards to security, the distributed vSwitch provides a private VLAN option, which will be covered in the next section.
The Virtual Switch Tagging (VST) in standard vSwitches is known as VLAN Trunking in the distributed vSwitch configuration.
