Restoring a VDS configuration
The fact that we can create a backup of a VDS enables the ability to restore its configuration from a backup. The restore functionality is particularly useful when the changes made to a VDS have yielded undesired results.
Getting ready
Since the restore is done from an existing backup, make sure you have the VDS backup ZIP archive handy.
How to do it…
The following procedure explains how to restore the VDS configuration:
- Right-click on the VDS and navigate to All vCenter Actions | Restore Configuration to bring up the Restore switch configuration wizard.
- In the Restore switch configuration wizard, click on Browse to locate and select the VDS backup ZIP archive.
