How it works...

When each NSX Manager has the role of a standalone, there is no synchronization or communication between the two appliances. Therefore, you first need to promote a single NSX Manager to the primary role and then add the secondary NSX Managers (up to seven) to the primary NSX Manager. Each addition requires the local credentials of the NSX Manager and the certificate present on each NSX Manager is used to secure communication. If the certificate is self-signed, you will need to accept the certificate thumbprint upon connection.
