Connecting a Hardware VTEP Gateway to an NSX Controller

This part of the configuration is dependent on the hardware VTEP gateway vendor. Refer to the hardware vendor documentation on how to configure the HSC to run the OVSDB server and connect it to the NSX controller. The following are the high-level steps:

Enable HSC or OVSDB server service on the hardware VTEP gateway.
Generate an SSL certificate for the hardware VTEP gateway to connect to the NSX controller. Copy the SSL certificate and save it. The certificate will be used later in NSX when you need to add the hardware VTEP gateway to NSX.
Add one of the NSX controllers as the manager (OVSDB client) using port 6640.

IANA-specified port numbers for OVSDB are 6632-6640.
