How it works...

As we can see, the CLI user account in NSX Manager is managed locally from the CLI. The CLI user account cannot be used to log into the vSphere web client but can be granted an NSX role in the vSphere web client for REST API access.

Additional users can be created at administrator level to access the NSX Manager CLI, NSX Manager web interface UI, and REST API calls. Additional CLI user accounts can be listed using the show running-config command.
