Route redistribution

Route redistribution is a mechanism where you take routes from one routing protocol and inject them into another; this is also true of connected interfaces or static routes. In this recipe, we configured route redistribution of all connected interfaces into the BGP routing process. This means that when an NSX administrator adds another logical interface to the DLR, that new network will be automatically advertised to the upstream ESG. In most cases, this will not be an issue if the network addresses are non-overlapping. However, in the event you need to ensure only predetermined networks are advertised, you can set up prefix lists on the DLR.
