How to do it...

Below is the procedure for restoring NSX Manager from an existing backup file through an FTP server:

  1. Log in to an existing or new NSX Manager web interface UI via your web browser.
  2. On the NSX Manager Virtual Management homepage, click the Backup & Restore button.
  3. In a freshly deployed NSX Manager, the Backup & Restore configurations will be empty. Configure the FTP server by clicking the Change... button next to the FTP Server Settings, as described in the previous recipe. Make sure the Pass Phrase is identical to that of the previous NSX Manager.
  4. Once the FTP Server Settings have been populated, NSX Manager will detect any existing backup files and they will appear under the Backup History table. Select the desired backup ...
