Using DHCP for an IP pool

The address range in a static IP pool must be in the same subnet. If a vSphere cluster resides on a different network, such as in a vSphere Storage Metro Cluster (vSMC) deployment, DHCP should be used. Manually assigning the VTEP VMkernel IP addresses from vCenter is not recommended, as you will need to manage and input the IP addresses one by one.

NSX supports multiple teaming policies for VXLAN traffic. Multiple VTEPs VMkernels can be used to load balance VXLAN traffic across multiple vDS uplinks. The teaming and failover mode configuration will depend on VXLAN bandwidth requirements and the physical networking configuration.
