12.11    CONCLUSIONS

Design of 4 types of lattice digital filters, which include basic, one-multiplier, normalized, and scaled-normalized, have been presented. It has been shown that the scattered look-ahead pipelined transfer functions always leads to pipelined lattice IIR digital filters. An approach to computation of roundoff noise in lattice digital filters using the polynomial expansion principle and the use of transposition has also been presented. The lattice filter design procedure is applicable to design of both IIR and FIR digital filters.
