Visualizing Patterns over Time

Time series data is just about everywhere. Public opinion changes, populations shift, and businesses grow. You look to time series data to see how much these things have changed. This chapter looks at discrete and continuous data because the type of data graphics you use depends on the type of data you have. You also get your hands dirty with R and Adobe Illustrator—the two programs go great together.
