Creating Control Extensions
Custom controls provide a powerful way for you to customize the UI of your Silverlight application. However, a disadvantage is that they can be quite difficult to work with. Each time you want to use a custom control, you need to manually select the DLL that contains your control and write the .NET code that performs the data binding.
