Chapter 16. Create Type

This chapter is an introduction to Illustrator’s type tools. First you’ll learn how to create point type, type in a rectangle, type inside an object, and type along a path. Then you’ll learn how to import type from another application, thread type between objects, copy type and a type object, and convert type into graphic outlines. In the next chapter, you’ll learn how to select type and change its typographic attributes via the Character, Paragraph, Character Styles, Paragraph Styles, Control, Glyphs, OpenType, and Tabs palettes.
